 Always Begin with Gratitude

As Children of THE KING, knowing that we should always begin our day by thanking GOD It may not always feel easy—especially when thoughts of problems or concerns try to greet us before we are fully awake. Yet when we shift our focus to how THE LORD JESUS CHRIST always covers us with the grace and mercy of GOD, we position our hearts for a day that turns out better than it first appeared.

 Always in HIS Care

Now as KINGS KIDS, we can almost always expect some trial, battle, or storm to attempt to disturb the peace GOD provides. But we can also always count on THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to keep us in HIS care. So when we turn to THE HOLY SPIRIT for strength, we’ll discover that no matter how difficult things seem, GOD always has a victory prepared for us.

 Always Lean on Faith

And as Children of THE KING, following GOD’s path may not always be the easiest choice. Yet we must always lean on our faith in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to make a way when circumstances look impossible. And by trusting THE HOLY SPIRIT for guidance, we’ll always stay focused on GOD’s direction—even when distractions try to shift our attention. That steady trust keeps us moving toward our victory.

 Always Expect Peace

So as KINGS KIDS, even in the middle of a battle or storm, we can always expect the joy that GOD provides. So we know that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will calm every storm as we trust HIM. And when we depend on THE HOLY SPIRIT, fear loses its grip. Then we can always expect that GOD will transform every battle into our testimony of victory that brings HIM glory.

And as Children of THE KING, whenever a situation attempts to disturb our peace, always pause and enter the presence of GOD. And trust that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will soothe your heart and mind. Then listen for THE HOLY SPIRIT to provide renewed confidence, reminding you that with GOD on your side, worry and anxiety cannot win.

Prepared for Whatever Comes

As Children of THE KING, thanking GOD as we wake each morning prepares us for whatever we may face. Whatever issues or challenges arise, we meet them by trusting THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to cover us with the grace and mercy of GOD. Because of that covering, whatever we encounter has the potential to turn out better than we first expected.

---

 Whatever Strengthens Our Faith

Now as KINGS KIDS, whatever trials, battles, storms, or situations we experience are often allowed by GOD to activate deeper faith within in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and put it into actions. So, whatever tempts us to rely on our own understanding will become an opportunity to turn instead to THE HOLY SPIRIT for direction. And by doing so, we remain on the path GOD has set before us, no matter how small or large the issue may appear.

 Whatever We Do Not Understand

And as Children of THE KING, whatever we face while following GOD’s path may not always make sense in the moment. Yet in whatever circumstance we find ourselves, if we lean fully on THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to make a way—even when we cannot see one—THE HOLY SPIRIT will provide strength, so we are not overwhelmed. And in time, we will see that GOD has been working everything according to HIS will for our good.

 Whatever Tries to Disturb Our Peace

So, as KINGS KIDS, whenever a day becomes troubling or something tries to disturb the calm that GOD provides, if we remember that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST has us in HIS care it will keep us from becoming discouraged. So, when we ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to guard our hearts and minds, whatever attempts to shake our confidence will lose its power. Instead, we will be strengthened to trust GOD for victory.

 Whatever We Bring to GOD

And as Children of THE KING, whatever we are going through will become lighter when we enter the presence of GOD. And knowing that in HIS presence, worry fades and faith rises we will be able to stop letting whatever we are facing by trusting THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and depending on THE HOLY SPIRIT for confidence so we can give GOD glory in advance—knowing that whatever battle we face will ultimately become a testimony of victory.

What We Are Doing Each Morning

As Children of THE KING, what we are doing when we thank GOD each morning is declaring that no problem or issue will control our day. By beginning with gratitude, we make it clear that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST covers us with the grace and mercy of GOD. Whatever attempts to disturb our peace will not accomplish its purpose, because our focus is already anchored in HIM.

Doing What Leads to Blessing

Now as KINGS KIDS, following the path GOD has set before us may take us into unfamiliar places. Yet by doing what GOD asks—leaning on our faith in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and trusting that HE keeps us in HIS care—we remain steady. As we listen for the direction of THE HOLY SPIRIT, what we are doing may not always seem easy, but it will always lead us toward the blessings and victories GOD has prepared for us.

Doing the Work of Growth

And as Children of THE KING, especially during this Lenten season, GOD may be doing new work within us. That means we must be intentional about doing our part—refusing to let trials, storms, or battles cause doubt. As we continue doing what aligns with GOD’s will and listen for THE HOLY SPIRIT’s leading, we walk faithfully along the path that leads to victory.

Doing Despite Resistance

So as KINGS KIDS, remember that as we grow closer to GOD, the enemy may attempt to disrupt our peace. It may feel like we are doing more uphill climbing than resting. Yet THE HOLY SPIRIT supplies strength for every step. Even when the road is uneven, continuing to do what GOD has called us to do keeps us moving toward the blessings HE has prepared.

And as Children of THE KING, when we remain committed to doing what GOD has placed before us, without losing hope in what THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is accomplishing in us, we grow stronger. A Season Begins Each Morning

As Children of THE KING, each day we thank GOD for waking us, it begins a new season of walking in HIS will. Even if it feels like every morning brings a season of problems or challenges, by trusting THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to cover us with the grace and mercy of GOD, our day becomes seasoned with less anxiety and distress—no matter what we face.

A Different Season of Growth

Now as KINGS KIDS, during this Lenten season our walk with GOD may look different than in other seasons. Yet because THE LORD JESUS CHRIST keeps us in HIS care at all times, even if this season seems filled with more difficulties than before, we can trust THE HOLY SPIRIT to give us wisdom and stability so we are not overwhelmed. In this season, we continue faithfully following the path GOD has designed for us.

And as Children of THE KING, when we depend on GOD to work through this season to shape and grow us, we may encounter more trials, storms, battles, or disruptions. Listening at the Start of the Day

As Children of THE KING, by starting our day thanking GOD we let the enemy know that we are going to listen for the leading that comes from THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and trust that by HIM covering us with the grace and mercy of GOD we won’t listen to any of the negative thoughts that try to disturb our day.

Guarding What We Listen To

Now as KINGS KIDS, we need to be careful of who or what we listen to, since by our trying to follow the path that GOD has for us there will be people — or even our own thoughts — that will try to distract us from listening to THE LORD JESUS CHRIST telling us that we are in HIS care. As we follow the directions we receive from THE HOLY SPIRIT, if we listen for HIS soft, quiet whisper, we will not be distracted from hearing as GOD leads us on the path that will get us through any difficult days.

Listening With an Open Heart

And as Children of THE KING, we may notice that the more we listen to GOD with an open heart, the more we will be able to listen in faith to THE LORD JESUS CHRIST as HE lets us know that no matter what we have to face, we can expect THE HOLY SPIRIT to enable us to not be overwhelmed by anything we hear from the enemy. We will continue to listen as GOD speaks victory into our hearts and minds.

Listening During the Storm

So as KINGS KIDS, learning to listen as GOD puts joy into our thoughts — even if we are in a trial…battle…storm…or difficult situation — will remind us that if we listen in faith, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will provide us with a peace that assures us that by listening to THE HOLY SPIRIT we won’t listen to the voices in our heads or around us that try to create doubt. Instead, we will listen to GOD to stay on HIS path toward the victory HE has prepared.

And as Children of THE KING, if we learn to listen to the good things that GOD says about us instead of listening to negative voices, and we allow THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to pour HIS love…light…and presence into us, THE HOLY SPIRIT will remind us that as we listen and follow the path GOD is taking us on, we will stop listening to anything that causes worry or anxiety. We will listen with confidence, trusting GOD is leading us through whatever storm or battle to brand new heights of victory already planned for us.
